Having finally gotten used to each other’s existence, Brad and Dusty must now deal with their intrusive fathers during the holidays.
As someone who loved Daddy’s Home, I also really loved Daddy’s Home 2. I just found it to be an amusing two hours to zone out, but it was also something that was relevant to my own life and to my daughter. I liked watching it and for her to see that her situation isn’t unusual, but they way it is filmed and brought to light is done so in such a good funny way. Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell, seem to have a great on screen chemistry providing plenty of laughs for the audience and when you mix that with Mel Gibson and John Lithgow ….. and a little bit of John Cena you get a great comedy with a Christmas theme thrown in.
I would highly recommend this to see for some giggles and I would also recommend it if you have a similar ‘modern family’ and think your children would like to see something that doesn’t just show a ‘normal family’…what even is that in 2017??
- Mel Gibson is only 15 years older than Mark Wahlberg, which is apt for their father son roles in Daddy’s Home 2
- Robert De Niro was considered for one of the grandfather roles.
