When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, the Kingsman’s journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US. These two elite secret organisations must band together to defeat a common enemy.
I liked this film. If you saw the first one and liked it you should obviously go and see this. If you haven’t seen the first film you should watch it before you see this, as unlike some films that you can jump in and out of, the first film has a lot of information to offer as to whom is who and why, otherwise there might be a lot of things you won’t understand. With an action packed star studded cast including; Colin Firth, Channing Tatum, Julianne Moore and Halle Berry, to name a few. The film has plenty of well choreographed kick ass stunt work, along with a heap of witty remarks and some comedy….a la Elton John. I advise not to see this late at night as it is quite long. Go to see this film if you are in the mood to zone out and join in on a fun action filled 2 hours and 21 minutes.
- The film’s cast includes five Oscar winners: Julian Moore, Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges, Colin Firth and Elton John.
Julianne Moore based her characterization of Poppy on Gene Hackman’s performance as Lex Luthor in the Superman movies.
- Mark Strong, who plays Merlin, provides the voice-over for Vue Cinemas in the UK and Ireland with regards to cinema etiquette. Exclusively for ” Kingsman: The Golden Circle ” screenings, he delivers it in his Scottish Merlin accent and with the odd profanity thrown in.
- On the Statesman’s plane on the bar shelf was a bottom of Born and Bred Vodka. Channing Tatum is the owner of this vodka brand.
- Poppy is an appropriate name for a villain who deals in drugs, as many drugs are are synthesized from the poppy plant.
