My Thougts
I went to see Ant-man with my six year old daughter. We both walked out having really enjoyed the film. It provides you with action and humour – two of the best genres.
The cast works really well together on both a chemistry level and a comedic level providing all the right jokes at exactly the right points. The story it’s self takes a different approach to superheros, showing that you don’t need to be big and strong to be a super hero. Also as an animal lover it made me appreciate ants more as it providing some interesting ant facts (Did you know that ants can lift up to 50 times their weight? No neither did I).
It is great to see Paul Rudd cast as the sole lead. He is an actor I have loved over the years and I didn’t realise just quite how gorgeous he was until now. I’m pretty jealous of Phoebe Buffay and Leslie Mann having numerous kissing scenes with him over the years
I would highly advise anyone who likes comics and/ or humerus action films to go and see.

Interesting Facts
* Paul Rudd stated in an interview with New York Times columnist Tom Riddle that he purchased a massive ant farm and watched how the ants worked together. He was so inspired by them that he decided to keep the farm.

* Michael Douglas said one of his reasons for taking on the role of Hank Pym was so that his kids could see him in a Marvel movie.
– On that note when Paul told his son he would be starring in a new super hero movie called Ant-Man, to which his son replied ‘Great, I can’t wait to see how lame that is gonna be’.

* Sean Bean, Pierce Brosnan and Gary Oldman were considered for the role of Hank Pym. When the role of Wasp (Hank Pym’s lover and wife) was in the script, Rashida Jones and Emma Stone were considered for the part. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was considered for the role of Scott Lang / Ant-Man. Jessica Chastain turned down the lead female role of Hope van Dyne due to scheduling conflicts.
